In the small town of Weilerburg, a man is beaten to death in his bungalow. Paul Seifert's body is found by his brother Erwin Seifert in front of the broken wall safe. Inspector Lutz has little to go on in his search for the perpetrator. Lutz does not believe it was a robbery-murder, because the perpetrator either had a house key himself or was let in by Seifert himself.
