Funny lyrics, catchy melodies - the songs, hits of the 1920s testify to people's desire to forget the horrors of the First World War and the hardships of everyday life. Some of them are still well known today and tell of people's hopes for a better life, which seemed to be fulfilled for a short time in the economic upturn of the "Golden" Twenties. The looming global economic crisis destroyed hopes for political stability and the dark clouds of the 1930s were already gathering on the horizon. All of this is reflected in the lyrics of this concert. You can meet "ordinary people" as well as the upper middle class, the wannabes and the bon vivants, the little naive people and the lady of the world. - Manuela Eichenlaub, vocals and Margareth Schicker, piano. Free entry - collection bar open.
