Programm:
20:30 Lucas Niggli

21:15 Ingar Zach
Ingar Zach is a prominent researcher in sound production and innovative techniques in contemporary percussion, notably using the Gran Cassa as his primary sound source. He explores sound through transducers and various objects, creating unique vibrations. Zach actively records and tours internationally with ensembles such as Dans les arbres, Fear Of The Object, Re-Membrane and with Michele Rabbia, while also focusing on solo and collaborative projects. Recently, he has composed for groups like Ensemble MusikFabrik and Quatuor Bozzini. His solo work spans multiple genres, including film and dance. In 2024, Zach completed his Ph.D. project, which can be viewed at Research Catalogue:<https://www.researchcatalogue.net/view/2004125/2365547>. His solo album, Musica Liquida, won the Edvard prize for Contemporary Music in 2023. Zach employs highly personal gestures in his performances, utilizing diverse techniques beyond mere striking. His evolving kit, emphasizing the Gran Cassa, enables varied, ambiguous sounds that challenge traditional listening methods. Zach embodies a fresh approach to music, where each sound is a unique event, unencumbered by conventional notation and expectations.

22:00 Lukas König
Koenig is known for his jazz and hip-hop drumming and recordings, he plays in the band Mopcut with Audrey Chen, Julien Desprez and is working with Peter Kutin and Freya Edmonds (Elvin Brandhi) in the project PLF.
In recent years Lukas' solo work has repositioned itself toward a stuttering, data moshed version of the solo drummer. The imagery of brain tissues micro and macro being loaded, reloaded and exploded with data, time stamping and pure kinesis as conjured by the title of this album could not be more apt. With this recording an almost cartoon like level of intensity is sometimes reached through movement and movement alone.
This is a music re-animating the "solo" drummers album while re-collecting it's history of new-complexity, lowercase, Bertoia-esque metal manipulations and all out free jazz fire music. Never drab or stuffy its cybernetic, hyper technical but above all; only accomplishable at the speed of thought. It's intrinsically human music.
Deploying double kick drum played in stroboscopic clusters, hyper-tactile cymbal work, table top electronics and FX pedals to mute, melt and mutilate his flailing limbs and ocean like tam tam bathing. Buffering Synapsis is a tiny view into the creative world of an incredibly exciting and unique musician.
