The music is mostly instrumental and is what I guess might be called contemporary jazz. The musical influences on the music include Brian Blade, Pat Metheny, and Indian music.

The band line-up includes tenor sax, guitar, piano, bass, drums, and possibly trumpet as well.

Jon Wollenberger is a passionate drummer, bandleader, and composer, of Swiss and American heritage. His musical voyage began with the tabla and saxophone at a young age, eventually leading him to jazz and the drum set. Through collaborations with renowned bands like Indialucia and Seven Eyes, Jon has exhibited his versatility across diverse genres, leaving a lasting impression on audiences.

Recognizing the importance of mentorship, Jon studied under the guidance of drummers such as Tony Lavender, John Ramsay, John Yarling, and more while in the US. These experiences exposed him to the brilliance of drumming legends like Brian Blade, Tony Williams, Elvin Jones, and David Garibaldi, who have significantly influenced his own drumming style.

Currently pursuing a master’s degree at JazzCampus, Jon is honing his skills and expanding his musical horizons. Learning from esteemed musicians like Jeff Ballard, Paulo Almeida, and Laura Jurd, he continues to evolve as an artist, incorporating their invaluable insights into his craft.

With an earnest and melodic simplicity, Jon’s music resonates with audiences on a profound level. His ability to seamlessly blend his influences reflects his diverse life experiences and showcases his commitment to genuine expression in his craft.
