The broad, warm sound of saxophonist Adele Sauros immediately invites you to listen. With her quartet, which she formed in Basel in 2023, the Finnish musician tells stories from the time she lived and studied here in a clearly accentuated and lyrical style. “No Room for Hesitation” was released last year on Bopcats Records and thoughtfully and melodically blends Sauros' Nordic melancholy and poetry with the energy and dynamism of African-American jazz.
