Goran Bregović ist Rockstar, Komponist und Klangzauberer in einem. Mit seiner legendären Wedding and Funeral Band bringt der gebürtige Sarajlija eine explosive Mischung aus Balkan-Folk, Roma-Fanfaren, bulgarischen Chören und Pop auf die Bühne – kraftvoll, ekstatisch und zutiefst emotional. Bekannt wurde er als Frontmann der jugoslawischen Rockband Bijelo Dugme, später komponierte er ikonische Filmmusik für Emir Kusturicas Time of the Gypsies oder Underground. Auch abseits der Bühne schafft er beeindruckende Werke wie das Oratorium Three Letters from Sarajevo.
