Das Chorwerk « Misa Tango di Buenos Aires » des argentinischen Komponisten Martin Palmeri verbindet traditionelle Kirchenmusik mit Tango Nuevo im Stil von Astor Piazzolla. Aufbau und Text des Chorwerks entsprechen dem klassischen Ablauf der lateinischen Messe mit Kyrie, Gloria, Credo, Sanctus, Benedictus, Agnus Dei.
Rund 80 Sänger:innen des Zürcher Chors Vocalino unter der Leitung des Dirigenten Beat Dähler, der Mezzosopranistin Cassandre Stornetta, 12 Streicher, ein Pianist und Luciano Jungman am Bandoneon führen das Chorwerk nach ihrem Erfolg in der Carnegie Hall in New York, in Muri (AG) auf.
