Blood & Dust - When re­si­du­es be­co­me ma­te­ri­als

Something is always left over when materials are extracted and processed. In industrial production facilities, on construction sites or in workshops, but also during forming, finishing or packaging, materials are created that often remain unused and are thermally disposed of, landfilled or exported. Can residues from the construction industry, food processing, textile production and animal husbandry be the raw materials of the future? And could even substances such as human excrement, hair or cigarette butts be recycled? The special presentation shows the appreciative use of residues as materials and draws attention to the untapped potential of materials that are still referred to as waste materials today.
