Briefly explained

Maintaining events on multiple platforms was yesterday. With Hinto you enter your event only 1x and achieve more reach than ever before.

What's Hinto?

The heart of Hinto is a digital database for events of all kinds. Anyone and everyone can publish events here and thus gain more reach. Our goal: to make cultural life in all its diversity accessible to the widest possible audience.

What makes Hinto different from other event platforms?

Hinto stands out from other event platforms because of its free data exchange. This means that instead of publishing your event on your website and/or on all possible platforms, you only enter your event once. After that, it automatically spreads to all the sites that join Hinto.

What good is Hinto to me?

The benefits of Hinto can be expressed in 5 words: More reach with less work. Collecting data manually was yesterday. Hinto takes this work off your hands. This saves you time and your event reaches the largest possible audience.

Is Hinto something for me?

Who is Hinto suitable for?

Hinto is suitable for anyone who publishes events in any form on their website. This can be concerts, exhibitions, the neighborhood meeting or a cooking class. Our goal: to promote and spread cultural life in all its diversity. And to do so as simply as possible.

For organizers

With the interface to Hinto, you can share the events from your digital event calendar and display them on Hinto as well as on other websites that participate in Hinto. This way you reach the largest possible audience - without a single extra click.

For cultural workers

Whether it's an exhibition, concert or cabaret: register your event on Hinto and have it automatically displayed on all other websites and event calendars that participate in Hinto.

For tourism organizations

With Hinto you can automatically display on your website all events and occasions that take place in your region. Changes are synchronized automatically. So you can provide your guests with an up-to-date calendar of events at any time - and with less effort than ever before.

For communities

Whether it's a choir meeting, an exhibition by a local sculptor or a painting course for children: with Hinto, you can easily display the local cultural life on the municipality's website. Always complete, always up-to-date. And without any effort.

Hinto does the work for you

How the Hinto principle works

Hinto comes with 2 powerful tools: the widget and the so-called OLE interface. Depending on your needs, you either build the widget or the interface into your website and get started. If you don't have your own website, you simply enter your event directly on Hinto instead of on multiple event platforms. This will save you a lot of time and you will reach a larger audience.

Capture event on Hinto

You don't have your own website? Or you just want to publish occasional events and distribute them as widely as possible? Then simply create an account on Hinto and enter your event with all the necessary information. From there, your details will spread to all the websites that join Hinto. Example: If you hold a flea market in the old town of Bern, it will automatically be displayed on all sites that publish events in the city of Bern. Of course, all this is and remains completely free of charge.

Working with the Hinto widget

With the Hinto widget, you can select suitable events from Hinto and display them on your own website. You decide yourself which events these are. For example, you can display all events within a radius of 5 km. Or you can filter all events for families. Or you can display all music events in your region. And and and ... The advantage for you: You no longer have to manually collect, enter and update the events for your website calendar. The widget does it all for you. And of course, the whole thing looks nice, too: The widget can be completely customized to match your website's colors and design. These sites already work with Hinto. This is how it could look on your site: Regionalprodukte.ch, the Quartierkommission Länggasse Engehalbinsel, the Villa Stucki and the Movement Reportr.

Working with the OLE Interface

OLE stands for "Open Linked Eventdata". This is an interface that you integrate on your website. After the integration, you record your event as usual on your own website. Using the OLE interface, Hinto then retrieves your event data from you and automatically publishes it on Hinto. From there, your event is published simultaneously on all websites that participate in Hinto. Changes are automatically synchronized everywhere. With just one entry, you get the widest possible reach. Several organizations such as the Kunstmuseum Bern and the Zentrum Paul Klee are already successfully using Hinto.

Make your job easier

The practical Hinto functions

In the background, Hinto comes with a lot of thoughtful and time-saving features. For example, you can create a group and share tasks with your team or friends. Or you create a minder list for yourself and others. Or you can maintain a public watchlist and become a guide for your community. In addition, there are other practical aids available to you. For example: The planning calendar automatically shows you if another event is already taking place at the same time and place. In the Statistics you can see how often your event has been clicked. And and and ...

Watchlists & Guides

A guide is a watch list. In it, you can save events that you would like to visit. You can keep your own watch list just for you. You can also share it with friends.
How to become a guide: Are you an expert in your field? Then become a guide for your community. To do this, simply create a public watch list and add all suitable events to it. Your watchlist will then be available to all Hinto visitors as a guide.

Working in groups

With a group, several users join together and appear to the outside world under a common name. As a municipality or operator of an event platform, you can, for example, invite all team members to the group and have events recorded and edited under your common name. This way you always have an overview of registered, pending and past events. Or you can create a guide and share the work.

Planning calendar

Hinto helps you plan an event in your region. Whether it's to find the best possible time or to join forces with other organizers. If you want to publish an event on Hinto, you can use the planning calendar to find out if other events are already scheduled for the same day in the vicinity. If necessary, get in touch with other event organizers to take advantage of synergies. Or reconsider the definite date of your planned event and avoid event clusters in the same region on the same day.

The best thing is to see Hinto for yourself!

Just register an event and try out what Hinto can do. Completely free of charge.
