Unter den zahlreichen Vertonungen des mittelalterlichen «Stabat Mater»-Texts nimmt die barocke Vertonung durch Giovanni Battista Pergolesi eine besondere Stellung ein. Dieses letzte Werk des 26-jährig verstorbenen Komponisten inspirierte mit seiner lyrischen Schönheit und emotionalen Tiefe auch spätere Generationen und berührt bis heute. Die Solistinnen Tania Lorenzo Castro und Josy Santos bringen das Meisterwerk unter Leitung von Riccardo Fiscato zu Gehör. Das Sinfonieorchester Biel Solothurn TOBS! wird ergänzt um SON-Studierende.
