GRAND NORD brings together the work of 27 artists created or conceived during residencies on sailboats in the North Pole region. Initiated by artist and curator Alexia Turlin, this exhibition is an opportunity to observe how these floating residences bring out new ideas and new creative processes. Collective and very personal, these journeys are as much space explorations as interior journeys. In a scenographic space bringing together works at the crossroads of different artistic mediums, GRAND NORD invites us to question representations of the North Pole and to reflect on what this region with its growing geopolitical issues and complex and multiple cultural history reveals about our relationship to living things and our planet.
