The singer-songwriter and concert flutist from Freiburg is on tour in Switzerland for the first time with his current album "Let me become what I am". His songs are reflections on life, love, farewell, dreams and are touching in their positive message and deep humanity. In a narrative style without pathos, the warm timbre of his voice comes into its own. The compositions are carried by dreamy melodies, rich harmonies and a cool groove, in which the multi-instrumentalist accompanies himself on the guitar, sometimes on the piano. With the flute he creates atmospherically dense sound structures, often out of the moment. The concentration of means on the essential develops the power in which what is heard can have an effect in its pure form. In sensitive moderation, Jörg Benzing reveals the stories behind the songs. The combination of all elements shows the artist's entire musical spectrum and makes the program a unique experience - much more than an ordinary recital.
