“Inevitável” arose from a desire to create modern, authentic music deeply rooted in Brazil’s traditions. The interplay between Gileno Santana’s warm, gentle trumpet and Rocho’s nimble seven-string guitar gives rise to a captivating, sophisticated yet subtle sound that captures the essence of their homeland in every musical phrase. The musicians masterfully blend popular music such as choro and Afro-Brazilian rhythms with jazz. An elegant soundscape of sensitivity and cultural identity that is deeply Brazilian yet universally accessible. The duo released “Inevitável” on Bandcamp in 2021.
