No­ah Ta­vel­li & the Ar­go­nauts

The sound of these innovative musicians is fresh, raw and experimental. Having all lived in New York for a long time, the unmistakable pulsating dynamics of that scene can be heard strongly in their sound. The band mixes tradition with modernity without any fear of contact. Noé Tavelli & The Argonauts was founded in 2017 and is initially a quartet without a harmony instrument that brings together musicians from the Swiss and transalpine scenes. The ensemble offers jazz that results from a skilful mixture of tradition and modernity, structure and freedom. In 2020 the band became a quintet and recorded New York pianist Manuel Schmiedel. In 2022 they presented their second album “Inner Streams”, which was released on the Catalan label FreshSound New Talent. The album was also critically acclaimed in Europe.
