Composer, keyboardist and bandleader Tyn Wybenga is a driving, innovative force on the Dutch contemporary jazz scene. With daring creativity, he employs a unique compositional method in which he samples and rearranges fragments of recorded solo improvisations by his band members to create new music, and then has his band improvise over this soundscape. An inventive, quick-thinking and subtly layered sound that varies greatly, captivates and yet breathes as a harmonious, grooving whole. Wybenga released his latest album, “Tonepool Paradox”, on Bandcamp in 2025. These jazz concerts were made possible with the support of the Performing Arts Fund NL.
