The Theaterfabulaktur is showing its revival of the play "The Cold Heart". A gripping fairy tale that takes visitors into the mysterious world of the forest.
A small village in the middle of the forest. Its inhabitants are used to deprivation and a hard life. But there is a legend... A legend that promises joy and happiness to those who are born on a Sunday and can rhyme the right saying. Peter Munk is one of those Sunday children, but unfortunately he doesn't know the saying. In his search for happiness, he meets bizarre and dark figures in the forest and clumsily gets entangled in his own desires. Driven by debt and self-reproach, he finally sells his heart for money. He and the whole village experience an uncanny change...
The play is based on the fairy tale of the same name by Wilhelm Hauff from 1827. The Theaterfabulaktur has staged the timeless story as a gripping open-air production for adults and children aged 10 and over at the setting of the story itself: in the middle of the forest.
