Francisco González Álvarez, Fundación Pueblo Kawésqar, stellt die neue Initiative vor (auf Englisch).
Sea nomads for over 6,000 years, Kawésqar have been exposed to colonization since the 19th century. In 2023, a Kawésqar delegation presented their history and culture at the museum under the title "Ko Aswál – The Next Day". A new initiative emerged then, which aims at healing the colonial trauma and creating educational materials for Zurich schools.
