In search of the musical “slang” of each genre within the context of early music and jazz.
A lush chord, a wistful ostinato, a tricky beat, a catchy standard – the sextet, with six native languages and even more diverse musical backgrounds, gets to know each other’s musical vocabulary and then expresses it with their own accent. The more musical languages the musicians throw into the melting pot, the richer and livelier the conversation becomes. Everyone can instinctively follow the flow, even without speaking the “dialect”.
