Even in the autumn and winter months, the nature reserve "Parco Regionale della Maremma" in the south of Tuscany is teeming with life. It's not just the park's wild animals that feel at home there. Farm animals such as the semi-wild Maremman cattle have also been bred to be ideally adapted to the habitat. Just like the Maremmano horses of the Butteri, the "Cowboys of Tuscany". For migratory birds such as wild geese and grey cranes, the Maremma is an ideal resting and wintering place.
