Doug and Deacon are on their way to Philadelphia for work. Carrie is expecting her husband back at 6 p.m. because she has tickets to the musical that her boss gave her. But then Deacon comes up with the brilliant idea of going gambling in the casino in Atlantic City on the way back. Doug is torn, but finally lets himself be persuaded and puts Carrie off with an excuse. Doug has had a real streak of bad luck and his mood is getting worse by the minute. He foolishly takes out his frustration on Deacon, who then gets angry and tells his friend to his wife. Doug knows that she won't wait long to tell on him to Carrie. His attempt to get ahead of her fails miserably. Carrie ends up taking Arthur to the theater, where he once again misbehaves as badly as he can. Too bad that Carrie's boss is sitting right next to them.
