In May, the photo exhibition “50 Years of the Frauenfeld Photo Club” will take place in the Baliere city gallery. 20 members of the Frauenfeld Photo Club will show their works.
In the exhibition themes "Frauenfeld our town" and "Pictures of the club members", 20 members of the Frauenfeld Photo Club are presenting their works.
From the club's history: On May 10, 1974, the "New Frauenfeld Photo Club" was founded as the successor to a dissolved photo club. 35 members were already present at the founding meeting. The topics were mainly SLR cameras and practical courses. After more than 15 years, the name was changed to "Frauenfeld Photo Club".
In 1996, the work for the city began at major events with the 750th anniversary of Frauenfeld city festival and the Federal Crossbow Shooting Festival. A highlight in the club's history was the presentation of the city of Frauenfeld's recognition award for the year 2000, which we were able to accept in the town hall from Mayor Hans Bachofner for the photographic work for the city.
The club currently has 25 active members who take part in the annual program, which includes a photographic theme evening at least once a month. Technical topics, photo competitions, lectures about photo trips and socializing characterize the club life.
