Why do births often take place at home in Ethiopia? For example, because there is no petrol for the ambulance. In rural areas, the beginning of life is often dangerous and involves hardship. A preview of everyday life that follows. There is a lack of infrastructure and medical staff, but also a lack of knowledge and a constructive link between traditional midwifery and modern medicine. Hulu Ager also has little faith in the birth center, which was actually created to combat maternal mortality. The documentary shows the challenging everyday life of the 25-year-old, who is expecting her fourth child, in a calm and often humorous way. The camera is there when she talks to friends at the hairdresser about the quality of her sex life, during pregnancy check-ups and finally during the birth.
