In recent decades, the population of elk in Yellowstone National Park has been decimated from 19,000 to 4,000 animals. Biologist Arthur Middleton discovered the reason for this. Experts blamed the wolves that had been introduced 20 years ago, and there were even calls to eradicate the predators. Biologist Arthur Middleton was tasked with finding out the reason for the deer's disappearance.
