Cheer­ful re­si­dence with the Kum­quat “Al­ter” com­pa­ny

Simply put: two circus artists spend a week in the Heitere Fahne. At the end they show their new project “Alter”.

“Alter” is a co-creative bi-national piece development that deals with the themes of socialization, human domestication and the question of personal body perception. “Alter” works with choreographic, acrobatic and theatrical means and deals with encounters with two women from Alès (France), Lara Peret and Maryanick Raffault. The result is a partly documentary, partly performative aesthetic in a production that explores the boundaries of contemporary circus. The resulting texts address fundamental philosophical approaches and modest ideas about life, death, self-perception, and human domestication and socialization.
