Con­cert DUO BLUESCHT

BLUESCHT is where archaic natural yodeling and groovy, melodic folk meet. The Basel duo moves in the border area of new Swiss folk music, folk pop and improvisation. Central to this is the natural yodel, which is used both traditionally and freely and unconventionally. In 2024, BLUESCHT will be on the road with their new CD "Wilde Wald", which the Basel Music Office praised as "free-spirited, fresh and archaic". BLUESCHT's music springs from urban-alpine passion. This sounds partly wistful and drawn out, partly rustic and weird, partly powerful and grooving. The desire to explore traditional folk music and interpret it freely can be heard and felt. At the same time, the duo experiments with what happens when their own material and improvisation meet traditional elements. BLUESCHT draws on both the Swiss song and natural yodeling culture and other musical styles such as folk, pop and jazz. Doors open at 7 p.m. Collection with cash.
