Swiss Beer Day 2024 - Feldschlösschen opens its doors

The Feldschlösschen brewery celebrates Swiss Beer Day with a brewery festival and officially ushers in the new beer season. Exclusive insights behind the castle walls, a large festival restaurant and experiences for young and old await visitors. The Swiss singer and musician Zian and the band “Fools Paradise” will provide the musical entertainment. The brewery festival is hosted by almost 200 employees with their families and friends. The long-standing tradition will be continued this year: The Feldschlösschen brewery invites its fans and interested parties from all over Switzerland to its beer castle in Rheinfelden. Traditionally, the brewery celebrates Swiss Beer Day on the last Friday in April with the entire population on the next day. The organizers have prepared a varied program for this day: On the Brauerweg, our own brewers pass on their knowledge and answer questions about beer and brewing. During special tours, castle explorers get an exclusive look behind the walls of the brewery. On this day only, the historic steam locomotive runs regularly throughout the day from Rheinfelden train station directly to the brewery area. Other highlights include carriage rides with the impressive brewery horses, vintage car exhibitions and tastings of Feldschlösschen's variety of beers. The musical highlight of the day is the Swiss singer and musician Zian. The two-time Swiss Music Award winner will heat up the atmosphere on Schalanderplatz with old and new hits. In addition, the cover band “Fools Paradise” will encourage the audience to sing along and celebrate throughout the day with hits from different decades. In addition to the large Feldschlösschen variety of beers and other drinks, the varied food stands invite you to linger. Swiss Beer Day Swiss Beer Day has been celebrated on the last Friday in April since 2012. It was launched on the occasion of the 135th anniversary of the Swiss Brewery Association. The members of the association - including the Feldschlösschen brewery - cover around 98 percent of domestic beer production. Around 50,000 jobs are directly and indirectly linked to the Swiss brewing industry. Starting this year, the brewery festival will be entirely “cashless” for the first time. All common credit and debit cards (including Postfinance) as well as Apple Pay and Twint are accepted at the sales stands on the site. There is also a central exchange point where visitors can top up chip cards with cash. Due to the limited number of parking spaces and for carefree beer enjoyment, we recommend traveling by public transport. With the code “RHEINFELDEN24”, SBB guests benefit from a discount of CHF 5.00 per ticket.
