Europe chooses its future - many in Switzerland are voting
The European elections will take place between June 6 and 9. Voters in the 27 member states will elect a new parliament, which will then appoint a new EU Commission. Where is Europe heading in uncertain times? Are EU skeptics becoming stronger, will the election become a fateful election? The former long-time foreign minister of Luxembourg, Jean Asselborn, assesses the situation and future prospects of Europe. Europe's election campaign is also taking place in Switzerland. A total of almost two million people in Switzerland - including more than ten percent of Swiss voters who are dual citizens - are voting. are allowed to have a say in the future of the EU.

75 years of the Geneva Conventions, the humanitarian crisis in the world, the role of Switzerland
The International Committee of the Red Cross ICRC operates in times of extreme hardship and distress, in which even the Geneva Conventions on humanitarian law are coming under massive pressure. More wars, more victims of violence and the growing gap between the need for aid and the funds available to alleviate the suffering are putting humanitarian aid organizations like the ICRC in a dire situation. ICRC President Mirjana Spoljaric Egger will be speaking about this. The world in turmoil and the role of Switzerland will be discussed in workshops on Gaza, Ukraine and climate protection. What is Switzerland doing and what should it do?
