The series centers on the comic character Garfield, created by Jim Davis, a lazy, egocentric cat who would prefer to just eat, sleep and watch TV all day. His owner Jon sees Garfield solely as a lasagne delivery guy. He only tolerates the dog Odie, who also lives in the household, reluctantly, but at least he enjoys annoying Odie.
