LATE – that’s the name of the state museum’s nightly cultural event. LATE takes place on the last Thursday of the month and lasts from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. If you don't have time during the day or prefer to stroll through the exhibitions in the evening, this is the right place for you. At LATE you can enjoy culture in a special atmosphere and end the day in a relaxed manner. The following program awaits you at LATE in March: Writer Ariane von Graffenried works at the interface of literature, music and performance. She honors us with her lyrical Comédie humaine in world format. On se réjouit! Due to great demand, Hannes Hug is once again dedicating himself to Swiss film and uncovering what Fusilier Wipf is keeping quiet. Author, literary scholar and medievalist Hildegard Keller takes us to the doctor in 1531. The comedienne Reena Krishnaraja gets to the bottom of lookism in the Middle Ages and also the tour “Prudery and lust under one roof?” by Valérie Lüthi goes to the Middle Ages and enlightens us about sex, eroticism and love. The bongoheads drum in the foyer. Before and after the live concert, DJ Scheibereiter will be at the turntables and will provide musical entertainment. Spitz offers wine, beer and drinks. Have fun and santé! Entrance to the museum including guided tours and performances costs CHF 13 (CHF 6.50 with carte blanche). A reservation is required for the program items/guided tours. Either online or on site in the evening at the box office from 6:45 p.m. The number of participants per tour is limited; the box office is first come, first served. We thank you for your understanding. NEWly, a contingent of guided tours can be booked online in advance (at the bottom of this page under program). A valid ticket for LATE is required and a maximum of 2 tickets per tour can be purchased per person. We do not recommend booking consecutive tours. If the program items are sold out, additional tickets are available at the LATE box office from 6:45 p.m. on the evening itself.
