After more than forty years, people meet again and are amazed that not everyone has reached the same age, not even those who are here, not to mention the dead. Still in the running, but probably not for much longer, they tell each other about their fulfilling and less fulfilling lives. Some people bluff and some people deceive themselves, and for others the end comes sooner than they thought, a fireworks display at the wrong time.
