Musée international d'horlogerie "L'homme et le temps", La Chaux-de-Fonds

The year 2024 marks the 50th anniversary of the inauguration of the International Watchmaking Museum in its current building. Celebrated throughout the year, this jubilee is at the heart of the festive program for this Night and Museum Day.

Immerse yourself in the fantastic world of short films from the 1970s tackling the theme of Time and time travel specially selected by NIFFF programmers; discover all the secrets and challenges of the design and construction of the titanic MIH project 50 years ago; meet the municipal architect in the Museum Park to learn about the various redevelopment work undertaken and put yourself in the shoes of a scenographer by designing your own LEGO model of the next MIH exhibition!

Evening program:

From 5 p.m. LEGO construction game: Imagine the new MIH scenography!

From 5 p.m. Treasure hunts and discovery games for children in the reference exhibition.

From 5 p.m. Drawing competition: Draw your MIH!

5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Workshop It’s continuous concrete (30 min)

5:15 p.m. / 7:00 p.m. / 11:15 p.m. Presentation of New MIH acquisitions (15 min)

5:45 p.m. / 8:00 p.m. / 10:15 p.m. BRUT – 50 years of a monumental setting - Guided tours of the temporary exhibition with the curators (30 min)

6:30 p.m. / 7:30 p.m. / 9:30 p.m. Automata demonstration

9 p.m. Tempus Fugit – Screening of short films concocted by the NIFFF and presentation of the selection by programmer Alice Moroni (60 min)

10 p.m. / 11 p.m. Tempus Fugit – screening of short films concocted by the NIFFF (45min)
