The Swiss Society of Women Artists (SGBK) is opening a new art space in Basel with a two-part newcomer exhibition. Patricia Amweg, Doris Horvath, Eveline Laing and Ada Ruf will exhibit their works in the approximately 60 square meter space at Spalenvorstadt 18 from June 19 to July 6, 2024. While Amweg presents works with wire sculptures and abstract black and white images on wooden bodies, Ruf invites you to reflect on the universe with her planetary images made of acrylic, gouache and metal foil. Laing lets objects float in space with her solarized photograms, among other things, and Horvath presents old embroidered pillowcases painted with stone powder and natural pigments.
