Mr. McCarthy appears at the Honoré police station, eight years after the murder of July Matlock, to testify to the fact that he was with journalist Nadine Hunter at the time of the murder. He thus exonerates the latter, wrongly accused and since deceased in prison. The case must be reopened, and Jack Mooney, then on vacation in Sainte-Marie, will take care of it.
