Simon hat seine Liebe zu Mandi in einem Gedicht verarbeitet, doch inzwischen ist er nicht mehr verknallt in sie und so landet es im Papierkorb. Doch Dave findet das Gedicht und macht daraus einen Song. Als er ihn veröffentlicht gerät Simon in Erklärungsnot. Alvin, wie immer überzeugt von seiner Schaffenskraft, möchte den Song noch toppen.
